You Are Here: Home» Computer Tips » Technique Fast Windows Shutdown

Shutdown windows process can sometimes take a while, especially when you're done using various applications, there is an application that hangs, and others. This is often annoying, especially some of us want to leave the table immediately after the PC death. How to shutdown this process faster?
There are several techniques that can be used to speed up windows shutdown process, from how a normal / natural to unnatural. So we can shutdown windows less than 5 seconds or even only about 2 seconds, without requiring additional software.
Normal mode
Normal way is to modify the Windows Registry, which is all things relating to the shutdown process windows. We recommend that prior to modifying the windows registry, then do the backup (by choosing File menu> Export when it was signed in the Windows Registry Editor). Here's how and explanation:
Previously, first open the Windows Registry Editor (Menu All Programs> Run) type regedit and then Enter or click OK.

After the Windows Registry Editor is open, and explanations can be followed the following steps:
Automatic shut down (Auto Kill) all applications on Shutdown time
Find the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop, then find the Key AutoEndTasks right click, select Modify, and if its value is not 1 then replace it with a value of 1.

Changing Application Hang time.
still in the same Key (HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop), find the Key Wait To Kill App, Hung App Time, and Wait To Kill Service Timeout. Right-click each key and select Modify, replace the contents with a value of 1000.

Non-switch facilities Clearing Paging File
At the time of shutdown, Windows will automatically delete the contents of Paging File for security, because of the possibility of paging file is used for temporary files, containing user or password and so forth. If we are not overly concerned with security issues, the windows of this facility can be in non-switch to speed up the shutdown process.

Do I look for the following key in the Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Session Manager \ Memory Management, then locate Clear Page File On Shutdown key and right click, select modify, replace the contents with a value of 0.

By changing a few settings, it should shutdown process will take place more quickly than usual, especially if there are applications that often hangs when shutdown. If you do not want to bother with the steps above, copy and paste the following text, then save the file name extension. Reg (for example: fastshutdown.reg). After that run that file (double click), when it appears to confirm, tap Yes.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop]
    "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" = "1000"
    "AutoEndTasks" = "1"
    "HungAppTimeout" = "1000"
    "WaitToKillAppTimeout" = "1000"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Session Manager \ Memory Management]
    "ClearPageFileAtShutdown" = dword: 00000000

If you save with notepad, select Save as and then the Save as type select All files, when saving quotation mark, eg "fastshutdown.reg"
Another way Super Fast Shutdown
If the above is still too long, and want a super fast way, then use the following tips:
Open Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Del) Hold down the Ctrl key while you click the Shutdown Menu> Turn Off
Then the computer will soon die in an instant.

Before using this method make sure the data is stored, because if you have not saved the data may be lost. Also use this procedure if the situation urgent, because the possibility can lead to any file that is corrupt, although this rarely happens
Other ways again?
Alternatively, is with the shortcut via the keyboard, without mouse, by pressing the Windows key (Win), then press the letter U and U. In summary Win + U + U or you can also Win + U + Enter. To speed up the shutdown process can also be done by turning off the sound when the Exit Windows.
USEFUL GOOD ...!!!
